Ashamed American

Somthing tells me that GhostDog is French... Kinda like Cmmd1, he doesn't make any sense at first glance... But when you look deeper, you see he really DOESN'T make any sense... GhostDog does however raise some interesting points, if you speak French-English like me you'd know that. Let me rephrase it.

The US is an evil nation. Since the US became a powerul nation it has caused 1 billion needless deaths around the world, a fact taken from the UN. Around 1998, the UN decided they didn't want too put up with the US' crap anymore. They decided that it didn't make sense for the US to commit wanton sloughter while other countries get annexed for harbouring WMDs. The US replied that they would pull troops out of Serbia and let the rest of the world have their fun.

As of 2005, the US has the highest rate of child-rapes in the free world.They also have the higest women rapes. Despite having the highest number of abused women in the free world, the US had the balls too tell the Muslim people what to do about women. It is widely known that, despite this fact escaping American ears, that Muslims are very respectful, very kind people, which is why Islam is spreading as fast as it is.

Americans hate Asia because they know how too fight in hand-to-hand combat, and they look/dress differently. They hate Europeans because Europe has prettier women (A known fact) and the US was rejected by Europe in the first place. They refuse too go into Africa too put out the Dictators of the most subjegated land on earth because Africa has no, none, absolutly positivly nothing in terms of oil. They hate we Canadians because we're smarter and it's only natural too hate your superiors.

And yes I know, this is a generalization, and yes I know that alot of this is on your Government/medias acount, but the 90% of people in America believe this garbage and become idiots who think that the world ends at New Mexico on one end and Washington on the other.

America has by far the highest suicide rate on earth, widly a result of the 10% of realizing that the world doesn't end at their boarder and understanding just how bad their country is. If Flyman want's too admit his country is evil, go ahead, god knows somone has too.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not mean, but the truth is the truth and that has too be said. Respect your women, dont beat them or call them whores. Because when you do, Canadians, aswell as the rest of the world, sees you as an idiot and a bully. Finally, learn another bloody language. English, or American as you tend too murder it, is not enough!

Oh, and refer too the 3rd last paragraph on the generalizations. Not all of that is lies BTW, it's a widely known fact that the US has a terrible foriegn poilicy.

I think "ashamed" is too strong a word to use. I don't think it's necessary to use the word unless you've done something personally. If you feel "ashamed" don't be complacent and do something about it. That'll speak louder and, IMHO, gain more respect (and just as much stick).

My friends and I in Sydney were discussing this very topic of the English Americans use. We came to the conclusion that it should be recognised as an official dialect rather than the "standard" the rest of the world relies on.

The British don't use most American English phrases, Australians certainly don't, New Zealanders have an even stranger accent than us Aussies, Canadian English is somehow strangely compatible with Australian English and requires nearly - well, most of the time- no translation between the two, the South Africans have no idea at all ... and it goes on. All the English-speaking nations need to come together and create and promote a global Standard English.

The French have their Standard French taught around the world, although it's kinda sometimes hard to speak to Québécois in Standard French because the accents and idiom are so different. Believe me, I've tried speaking Standard French to Québécois in France and it was a struggle for me. But the French speakers of Tours - who reputedly have the most refined, "royal" and best French accents, intonation and speed control on Earth - were fantastic to speak with. I communicate better with Québécois when I write.

Oh, and to the person who started this thread, never be ashamed of one's country, it is like saying you are ashamed of your mother. It is the place where you were born, where you were raised, and the place whose values either affected you positively or negatively. I guess that America affected you negatively. You are so close to Canada, make arrangements and get out of there. I'm sure Canada won't say "no" to you - they need people like Australia needs water! There's only 32 million of them spread across the second largest country on Earth.

Canada, can we have some of your freshwater lakes? You've only got 2 lakes for every person living in YT + NT + NU ...

I hate my PM and the Australian Federal Government because PM John Howard had just turned Australia into Bush's whipping boy, but I will die saying I'm a Filo-Aussie. It's who I am. My land of endless beauty (but soon-to-dry-up bounty) will always call me back home. Europe is beautiful, but I can tell you that Australia in my eyes will always be My Island Home (there's a song all about it, it stirrs up much pride in me; but so does Waltzing Matilda so there you go ...).
