Been a few years I've been off any forums and I just wanted to reach out to old CKA friends and nemesis's alike with a big western Howdy.
Over the past few years I've flip flopped my position on climate change (didn't buy into the anthropogenic argument), gay marriage and homosexuality (thought it was pretty disgusting unless it was two lipstick hotties), gun control (now favour it), religion (now an atheist) and capital punishment.
I am also no longer in the Military Reserve and was honourably discharged after 17 years, several tours and eight Operations due to a civilian injury. I still farm and own a small business that is slowly killing me as a result of perpetual lack of staff and maddeningly poor work ethic of the few I can beg to work but I have made the decision to retire in 2018 to pursue personal fulfillment and interests.
I am a grandpa now with another coming, prit'near 50 and feeling less like a 'has been' and more like 'a never will be' everyday. I have also cultivated a deeper appreciation and subsequent study of astronomy and anthropology presumably to fill the void that faith once held.
I am looking forward to get reacquainted with old pals, making new friends and engaging in stimulating and meaningful debates as we explore the many topics across the spectrum of the human experience.
Of course I'm still me and some will be politically incorrect. I apologise in advance.

Are you sure you've reached the right place, the name's familiar, but "making new friends" and "meaningful debates"......I'm not too sure this is really that place.....
