I'm a newbie, both on this forum and in Canada. Came up from the States last year. I say I'm a Kansan by birth, an Albertan by choice and a Jayhawk by the grace of God. Just found the forum on the homepage and got fascinated by the 'best beer' discussion. I look forward to participating.

Seriously, it's the fictional bird that serves as the mascot of the NCAA national champion basketball school, the University of Kansas.
