I guess I should poke in and say Hi.
I am looking around and these forums have great variety and very interesting along with some good humour. And thank the Lord I can type humour, and not get teased. I am a very proud Canadian, in particular born in B.C. (not that I had a choice, but it is wonderful to be B.C. born).
I am from the West Coast lower mainland area, but have lived all over B.C., in Manitoba once and In Ontario as a child. My (paternal) grand parents and greats, greats came from Nova Scotia.
However, I have family from all over, in particular B.C., Alberta and Ontario, the States and long lost relatives in Nova Scotia.
I will figure out this forum and its idiocyncracies soon. Hope you all are having a good pre Christmas season and not too harried.
Welcome from another BC-er Not the coast though, and not born in BC either
Have fun!
WooHoo!!!! Another Born WestCoaster and the lower mainland to boot!!!!

Welcome bara.
Thanks to all for the nice welcome.
Brenda: from B.C I have lived many places, but not where you found that fellow in the Santa hat.
TatootedGirl: Vancouver rocks, but I have to take a ferry to get there!
Newfette: my brother in law is from um, I believe near Fortune. But is now up North in B.C. with my sis. I have a friend in St. John's, my daughters former dance teacher.
Ziggy; wow, cool from Nanavut!! must be pretty cold right now.
Wada: East Coast is cool too. I have only been as far as South Porqupine,, Toronto, etc, Ontario. Never to Nova Scotia from where my grandpa was born.
Ex-expat: Were you in the forces? Nice to be proud Canadian.
Tritium: yup, Even tho, some feel the East is best, we all know what rhymes, eh? Very nice photo, do you know the mountain range?
Many thanks to you all, I am looking forward to reading more forums, some very good stuff going on in here.
Huge welcomes from NOVA SCOTIA....the only place in Canada that matters
Welcome Bara, look forward to seeing you in the forums!
Novachick: wow, nice from Nova Scotia. Me family hails from Antigonish, but it has been long time. I believe they left the area when my grandpa was but a wee laddie about 7 years old, and they still spoke Gaelic. I would love to hear more about Nova Scotia. I actually check a lot of stuff on the Internet
BarbaraWoodson: thanks for the weclome too. I look forward to reading more, but with Crhistmas coming fast (does it not fall on same day each year and still one is never ready?) I may not be truly active until the New Year.
Thanks
