Oh cool, when I was in Van on holiday last year we saw the coverage of the EPL was good. Theres loads of rugby over here, both league and union. Dont play, last time I did i broke my leg :( sort of put me off. Do you get much cricket because thats the latest craze over here after the Ashes win.

You didn't need to start a new thread to reply to my post. Sounds like something I would do.

There is almost no cricket on TV (I would say none, but I'm not sure) There are some cricket leagues here in Victoria, but it's mostly 6-man. The kinda game you play in an hour or two, not a day or two or three or four. I'm not aware of any cricket above club level here in Canada.

We have no coverage of European rugby - maybe on satelite. Can you bring Sky Sports with you? We have had coverage of Super 14, NPC and some Currie Cup. Stand by for all the American Sports. Your cup (not the one in your shorts) runneth over.

Cricket, rugby, soccer, netball, field hockey... darts

I'm not sure why Canada and the US had to find their own sports.

Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, NASCAR

Cricket is a gentleman's game, it also does not fit in well with television commercials. Most North American sports have become 'made for TV'.

There's a lot of American style football, Basketcaseball and Baseball

In Canada we play all the fighting sports.

Rugby (union) is becoming a little more popular.

So what happened to Leeds United?

Yeah, its the old American idea of isolationism (i know that because im studying it at school at the moment :) ). Ever heard of John Part?

We fell into about C$209 million of debt, about £110 million all because of one man's ineptability. He used our best manager for nigh on 40 years as scapegoat then hired a donkey who has no track record but a name for TV. We quickly slid into fatal decline. Survived the first year after Ridsdale left and we got another guy as chairman and he saved us to put it blunty. Then the next year we got relegated :( . We sold all our top players and got a certain Ken Bates in charge (he took Chelsea out of the same position yes the team that now has endless $$$) we got to about C$10 million of debt in one year. He is a saviour really. Now we are fighting for promotion.
