I would invite anyone I knew that didnt have family here and we would have a great Christmas, even if I didnt know them that well it was always a great time....

Where do you live?
I am there
Make sure you got plenty of beer in the fridge. Now wait..... That would be impolite. I'll bring the beer.

Sleeman's please.....

Seriously, that was mighty nice of you to invite people over.
Bet they did appreciate it.

I want to be able to go to Tofino and dust my sisters ashes in the ocean, and then get a the tattoo I've been designing for this event.....
And Firecat, take Stratos' advice and get out there on Christmas or if you know anyone else that will be alone have dinner together.....Every Christmas (up until my sister dying nearly 2 years ago.) I would invite anyone I knew that didnt have family here and we would have a great Christmas, even if I didnt know them that well it was always a great time....

This thread put a real smile on my face. (Oh, and PimpBrewski congrats on flying a BQ banner. It may not be a popular logo around here but I admire you for sporting it proudly.)
My ex-wife came over because she realized that we way we had it planned I was alone and she thought - "whoa - not fair." So now everyone is gathering for prezzies at my house on Christmas Eve, then she and her husband will go to his parents for Christmas Day and the kids will stay with me.

Boxing Day Grandma (my Mum) comes to my house with my brother and niece. Coooool. I thank everyone for the great ideas too.

Maybe Santa will give you your gift next Christmass.
Well I can say that this, hopefully, will be my last Christmass "alone". I live way to far from my family, my roomate/best friend will be working and his sons will be at their mom's. I'll be going out to the movies with an old roomate of mine to see the new rocky movie.
Next year I'll be married and haveing so much fun decorateing with my wife and just being a silly yank about a lot of christmass things. So just one more christmass alone for me... my 10th one if you count from the time my ex and I seperated.

Actually it was only meant as a joke

Hopefully you were aware of that along with some others. Was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice

I bought myself a present,a koolatron electric lunchbox,it plugs into the cigarette lighter plug in on your car or machine, takes 12 or 24 volts and heats to 300F. I can do a grille cheese in 10 minutes, hot dogs in 5,and a whole big ziplock of cabbage rolls in 30 minutes. you can cook anything in it,ive seen them the last 2 years and they work good. And there only about $49.00. Good gift idea.

Sorry. I thought it strange but I just took it on face value. I didn't get the irony.

That's for Alberta, when in Nunavut I get a hot lunch everyday at camp. They feed you so good that 4 guys chopper in and only 3 can go out on the chopper.
Koolatron would be good for road trips though, and allmost everyone on the pipeline running equipment has one. In 28 years I've only worked in town close to anything for about 6 months one year where you could buy a hot meal. The rest of the time I eat cold sangy's. So this is like the cadilac of lunch buckets for me. The working mans portable crock pot.
