I think his funniest character though was his retired French-Canadian male stripper, which he usually saved for the garage or anywhere you could see the visuals that were part of the act.
Have a couple of beers with a guy once... and he steals your accent.
Walkoot Walkoot:
is anyone else afraid or very hesitant to say "about" in front of Americans?

No, but I was even teased about my pronunciation of it last night. By a guy from North Carolina at that!

My Uncle, a friend of his and I had been on a World War II & Japanese movie binge (Shogun, King Rat, Bridge Over the River Kwai . . .), and while having a few too many at the Legion we made up our own 'Drunk Japanese' language.
Worst part was, after a while and after a few pitchers, it made sense!

You could have a valid point there ray, while the IPs don't match, they are both Rogers accounts and originate quite close to each other.....
I hate my Canadian accent.
Was on my jack jones having a cup of rosie lee whilst the trouble and and strife was out. This kingdom come walks up, all brahms and listz, wants a couple of quid for some tom cruise so I tells him to scapa flow or I'll give him some plates of meat up his aristotle.
All this in a perfect East coast accent.
East Anglia? Land of the straw heads.

For a long time I've wondered, when Yanks do that, are you trying to do a Newfie accent?
He needs a frozen one to the nuts.
There is nothing wrong with saying Aboot... really, there isn't. It's a beautiful thing
