About time. Immigration stressful? The only bit I found stressful was realisation that its soooo easy to get.
You don't need to speak English or French, or study too hard for the piss-easy 'exam'. No judge speaks to you, in fact nobody even interviews you. Most criminal convictions don't stop or even slow the process down.
Hand over the cash and you get a nice dark blue passport.

It's a whole lot different when the immigrant is a single woman trying to et papers here. Yah, it's stressful!
Why Yogi? Tell me more. You a single woman who immigrated to Canada?
Nooo, but my last wife was! Out the door at 4 a.m. to 'get in line' for when the doors to immigration office opened at 8. First come, first served. There never seemed to be an end to the paper-work, and none of that ever seemed to be filled out correctly! And of course, every friggin time we had to go back, it was 'mo money'! I remember thinking at the time that the whole system seemed designed around 'mo money'!
And then when we got to the 'interview stage' we were given no less than the 4th degree, and treated like shit by every govt employee we dealt with.
Until the very last interview when I finally came 'unglued' and called every last one of those cocksuckers, COCKSUCKERS!!!
One fellow who we had never had any dealings with came out of his office and very quietly, and politely took us over to a side counter, quickly looked at the paper work, stamped everything, took $300.00 and told my wife" be of good character, stay out of trouble, and good luck on your citizenship test".
