As someone who these past few years has begun to take an interest in their Canadian origins (I was born in Canada in 1977 of Dutch parents, lived there until the age of 6 when we moved to the UK and haven't been back, principally because of the simple reason I have no family in Canada now), I have recently discovered CBC News on the Internet. It's always interesting to see, and a good way of finding out what goes on in Canada. As always, I would love to visit the country again some day and sincerely hope I will. Alas, money is what stops me (although I'm trying to save for an eventual trip) as well as the fact I wouldn't really have anyone to go with (am reluctant to travel on my own for fear of being found 'weird').
Who knows, perhaps I will make it back some day. Even though I've never used it since 1983, I'll keep on renewing my Canadian passport every 5 years (I also have a Dutch one because of my parents, which makes living in Europe a lot easier).....
The CBC internet is free on the web unlike CNN that tried to charge for video. I hope CTV News net will do the same sometime. I expect you to get flamed for putting the CBC in a positive light. For some on this board it is heresy to do that. Keep your options and passports open, I am sure you won't regret it.
I really like the new design of the CBC website, looks awsome
