Juncker is particularly hot to do this since the Brexit in the sincere hope that a Federal EU will be able to stop any more member states from seceding from the Union.

   

True enough, the Dutch military is already basically integrated into the German,
I imagine the Danes will follow soon enough.

I think for now it will more of a Nato-esque setup, soldiers will stay in their
own national armies, and then seconded to the EU.

After all, what will an EU soldier fight for ?

The EU has real trouble right now, East - West over migrants,
North - South over economics and the Euro, and Payer - Payee countries over
everything else.
