Hi CKA and everyone. I just joined this site yesterday, at the invitation of a very dear friend, and I have some questions about how things work here.

First, can journals be customized, or are they "as is" on this site?

Second, I noticed on the home page something about "Friends of CKA." Does each member have some kind of Friends list? If so, how does one go about sending out Friend requests or Introductions to other members? Through the Private Messaging system? And do these friends show on the member's profile right away?

Third, I think there's a lot going on, here, and I think I'm going to find it a really great and interesting place to be. Thanks!

Thanks. I guess I got a bit excited for no reason, then, eh? LOL Question, though: If people don't really bother with the journals, why have them? I mean, if they aren't really being used, doesn't the program for them just take up space?

Suggestion: If you decide to keep the journals, it would be really cool if we could customize them using the available wallpapers. Whaddya think? :D

I would tend to agree, just get rid of em, if people need a journal that is waht livjournal is for, or opendiary, or all of those other things.

I've been thinking about this, and I came up with an idea that might help. Read Talk-back! and let me know what you think. I'm just trying to help, and it's just an idea, but maybe it might make a difference that would justify the programmers having gone to so much trouble to create the journals in the first place... 8O
