Of late I've noticed a trend towards a lot of threads turning into flame wars. Why are we like that is it to the point were we see someones name in a post and automaticaly go after them? It's really getting to the point where there is no need at all to post on a subject because someone will eventualy turn it into some sore of flame war.

I do include myself with the above as being part of the problem.

So lets just use this thread along with the Offical Fuck thread to vent, rant, what ever you want and try to keep the crap to a minimum on the other threads. Some great discussion threads have been locked up do to these flame wars and I for one would like to at least be able to post and have a decent discussion or debate with out having to go into flame war mode.

So what is the point. A second Fuck list? I don't see what this is for.

A personal attack thread....hmmm....might just keep the people suffering from tourette's syndrome from flaming on the threads....and the sale of Monitors will also prolly increase, which will help boost the economy even more....

I'm hopeing is that if you want to flame out on someone do it here and just refer so and so to this thread. That way we can, I hope, keep the other threads clear of it. Thus ppl wont have to go into a thread thinking its about something theyh are interested in and see nothing but 5 pages of flameing.

Example if you will is we're in a thread called XYZ and you've pissed me off on something you posted and I want to flame out on you. I would just post Hey BB got to the hate rant thread page 1. You would come here and we can flame out on each other here while back in threat XYZ ppl can continue on in civil conversation. If you chose not to respond here then oh well I'm shit out of luck and should not go flameing in XYZ on you.

If people would have had that kind of selfcontrol, there would not be any flaming at all

I agree with ya....personally I cant stand going to a thread that is complete nonsensical ranting and bickering back and forth....It actually will keep me away from the site for awhile if I see it is continuing through many threads.

It'll never work. the flamers will never jump over to here. They will prefer to flame on the thread they are on. It is a LOOK AT ME device. They can not be controlled that way.

Next problem is it will just breed bad feelings between members. Never a good thing.

hmmmm BB you might be right this is/was just an Idea that i've not thought all the way through but wanted to post and get some reaction to.


Well PPL are welcome to use it if they want to. If it helps cut done some flaming on other threads then great. If not oh well it was worth a shot.

Things always have to be tried out first....see if it works, even if it is for a day....at least it will be one day without endless posts of shit
