I'm not kidding! I just don't understand why people get excited or even care about WATCHING a hockey game. I sit here looking out my window at the coloseum and and think 'I'd rather have a root canal than watch a hockey game'! At least a root canal is over in an hour! I have tried on several occasions to figure out the 'lure', but it totally escapes me. That's just the game itself! Add in the costs for 'mom,dad and 2 kids to actually go see a game. I think the cost is about the same as a root canal!
This IS NOT a rant. Just my personal observation followed by the question, 'What do people find so exciting about watching a hockey game???

   

The speed, the fighting, the passing, the sweet goals, the amazing goaltending, the cool Jerseys, and the goals.....

If you can't watch hockey, its probably because you have never played it. that or you're a wuss and like sports like soccer and tennis

   

Hey! I happen to play those sports and like them! They suck to watch, but are very fun to play....Soccer can be interesting, and tennis can be interesting, only when we see upskirt however...........

   

I lot of is tradition. If you grew up with it, watching it, etc. then you probably enjoy still. It's a sport, and its fun to watch and cheer for your team against another team. Others prefer to watch soccer.... I don't know why. At least hockey is faster, grittier, tougher, and much more exciting!

I enjoy playing Hockey and watching it.

I also play Soccer, basketball, tennis and curling occasionally.

I watch them occasionally, but they are nowhere near exciting as hockey.....

With this new NHL, I don't blame anybody for not wanting to watch it. But there are other hockey leagues that are very enjoyable. Especially if you follow a team, and know the players etc.

   

I'm with you on everything....all except for basketball....I hate the sport! Hockey is the most exciting sport of them all - especially during the playoffs!

   

Rugby... ROCKS....

NFL Football.. Sundays and monday nights.....

Three sports I can't watch on TV.. Golf, Baseball and Curling...
**** made a slight error there I originally included tennis... uhm this is going to sound really sexist but I could watch women's tennis everyday for the rest of my LIFE......****.

   

WRONG !! lol. I am into paintball on a fairly regular basis,-tippman 98 custom pro with freak system. I curl on occasion and have even won a few decent prizes. Still swim and used to dive competetively-even thot of that as a career. Played a bit of street hockey as a kid. It was just something to do. Was on the high school wrestling team and was asked to try out for provincials. (didn't tho)Like to PLAY baseball. Even carry a baseball bat in my truck. ( in case I should 'happen upon' a game)! !And I even used to ice skate.
So it's not as though I don't like any sports or physical activity.I just don't understand how people can get excited over WATCHING a sport!
