Went out for steak tonight and I was quite pleased how it turned out. I had a nice peice of tenderloin grilled 3 min on each side, so it came out blood rare(blue), just the way I like it. I like a fair bit of moo moo( I absolutely love steak Tartar) left in my beef, how do the rest of you like your steaks?

I'll use it, I like to use JD as a marinade.

Thanks, I can get all of those ingredients here at he local market. If you want a good marinade for chicken, that's easy try half and half beer and sprite, or orange soda. Chop in fresh ginger if available. marinade for a couple of hours for stronger flavour. Skinless chicken breasts are best, but be careful, as the sugar from the soda my burn

its gotta have a little blood in the middle, i hate it when you go out and ask for medium rare and it comes back like a frisbie!!

Anything more than medium rare, you may as well eat shoe leather. This why God placed vegitarians on earth, to give me milk and meat [drool]

Rare with a strip of bacon wraped around the outside.

Don't usually marinate (just seasoning salts, pepper etc) but I might try that recipe...

That's OK for filet Mignon or small rounds, but what do you do for a t bone, sirloin, tenderloin or rib steaks?

I like it rare-medium rare. I don't usually use a marinade, but you can't get enough pepper on a good steak... need to use the whole pepper corns, crushed, not ground.
