Get a smaller boat or canoe that you can put on a roof rack.
I have a small inflatable boat that folds up and fits into my trunk. I usually take it down to the lake several times per month in the summer months and paddle around. As awesome as it is, it doesn't compare to an aluminum boat with a nice outboard motor.
Most people want riches and/or property. All I want is my little boat.

Nope. 9.9 Merc gas motor, because it will run forever and is easy to maintain.

Finally got a shooting plane. Took 2 years, and I managed to score one during Lee Valley's "Seconds" event, where twice a year they sell stuff that was damaged during manufacturing, but is still perfectly functional. Mine has a little dent in a place that doesn't touch wood. Totally cosmetic.
