I think it was General Foods that got caught playing similar games. When they were told they had to reduce the amount of sugar/serving in their breakfast cereals, all they did was reduce the suggested serving size.
I dunno about anyone else but I've never seen a kid eat only a half bowl of Count Chocula.
Our federal govt also has very stringent inspection of Canadian produced foods. But a lot of the foods we eat don't come from Canada, and there we just trust the country the food comes from to make sure it's safe. Like China, say, I'm sure they have excellent quality control and would never send unsafe products to Canada.
