Homolka denied early prison exit

She should stay in prison, or a psychiatric hospital for the remainder of her life for what she has done. And what about Paul? Will he ever be released?

It just sickens me what they did.... :x

Imagine; if they'd never met. He'd have been the date from Hell. He's one of those guys who never learned to treat women properly. Maybe he'd have eventually ended up in jail for a while and straightened up. She'd have been the bitchiest bitch down at the hair dresser's and the bitterest, most lonely hag on the block, but not done much harm. Reinforcing each other's bad characteristics their evil is legendary.

I live about 1/2 hour from where one of the girls went to school. I wasn't really old enough to know what had happened back then but now ... I just have a horrible feeling inside me knowing that there are actually individuals out there that do that and enjoy doing that type thing to people. I was going to call them people, but i don't think that is appropriate. No word is, really. I realize that there mental issues that are in part of the problem, but that doesn't explain all of it and i don't think that anyone can ever fully understand how anyone could do that to another human being.

I also don't see how individuals such as Homolka can get released back into society. I am all for the rehabilitation not punishment philosophy of the Canadian system. But there is something inside me that thinks that a few years in prison isn't really enough to make individuals like her 'normal'

It has taken a while to write this in a more calm manner as opposed to what i want to write. sorry if it is a bit disjointed

figfarmer @ Wed Apr 06, 2005 2:11 pm

Nobody understands it. As far as rehab goes, people are what they are. Period.

Canucker,

Unfortunately, Homolka was able to get a deal with the Crown. Local channels in the Golden Horseshoe area broadcast the psychological profiles of the people suspected in the killings. These profiles were based on a dominating male and a submissive female.

When Homolka wandered into the police station to turn in hubby, she played up the profile, either deliberately or by accident. The police and the Crown figured they had to do everything to solicit her testimony against Bernardo. The deal is signed, her plea entered and then WHAM, out come those videotapes showing she is just as sick a bitch as he is.

I don't think the Crown should be blamed or vilified. They acted in what they believed was the best interest of justice. They just got bullshitted by a good bullshitter.

Between your flag and the sabre rattling Yanks I can't help but think of that good old KLAATU song, Politzania, every time I come here.

**********************************************

Long Live Politzania
(John Woloschuk)
Through a fortunate turn of events, this original transcription has been acquired of a dissertation given by the late Professor Charles Pamplemousse R.C.B. at the Eighteenth Assembly of the Heirs of the Politzanian Empire.

Professor Pamplemousse was a distinguished anthropologist of his time whom many believed to be the world's leading authority on the subject of extinct civilizations.

The program concludes with the singing of "The Politzanian National Anthem."

As facts are few and far between hypothesis denies all logic as to what precisely, er, led to her demise. For what appears sheer grandiosity, no legacy remains except her crumbling ruins on which these words were found engraved:

Politzania
Politzania
Long live Politzania
Politzania
Politzania
God save Politzania

Now these ancient Politzanians as far as archeologists have traced had most thoroughly convinced themselves they were a superior race. Quite a ridiculous notion, granted, however if we assume her sister rivals rose to quell such monstrous claims, I most humbly submit her unpleasant end is satisfactorily explained.

Politzania
Politzania
Long live Politzania
Politzania
Politzania
God save Politzania

Those citizens who questioned, those suspect harborers of doubt, were brought before a panel of the Ministry of Health.
They were tested and encephalographed
'Til rendered quite insane
When in accordance with the laws
They reprocessed their brains
They reprocessed their brains ha ha ha ha
They reprocessed their brains

The Politzanian National Anthem

Politzania, brave strong and true
Politzania, we all love you
We'll smite our foes for we are right
And God is on our side

Politzania, red, white and green
Politzania, reigning supreme
Victors in war
Champions of peace
Unto eternity

(Everybody now)
La la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la
La la la la la la
We're the masters of the world

I know the judge/jury/Crown would have done more if they could have. I understand that. What I mentioned earlier was just a personal point of view... wishful thinking.

A lot of energy goes into figuring out why these people do what they do. Ultimately there is only one explanation. They liked it. Dahmer is the perfect example, he came from a good, well to do family, his parents never beat him or raped him. Dahmer was just sick, plain and simple.

Bernardo and Halmolka are just the same. People may say that she was abused, but I don’t think that would be enough to sell out her own sister. Bernardo never asked to be “given” Tammy, Karla just decided to do it. She liked it, and she was just a guilty as him. Unfortunately, she did not receive the punishment she deserved.

I grew up in St. Cath and was the same age as the girls that those sickos murdered. It still gives me the chills. Nobody would ever have thought that something so evil could have happened, especially in a sleepy little town like ours.

As others have already said, there's just no explaining some people. Because this hits so close to home for me, I think the death penalty should be reinstated, just for these wackos who terrorized us for what felt like an eternity... God, my mom wouldn't even let me walk to school alone during that school year...

Its discusting how this woman is somehow getting out of prison for the crimes she has commited. I live in Niagara Falls which is just outside of St. Catharines. I was too young to remember when this all took place, but when it did happen I am told, this area was a mess. People were really upset about what happend and were concerned of there childrens wellbeing. The subject is coming up once again because of her release. It so close to home when a friend of mine used to bring their dog to Homolka who was their vet.

I truly wouldn't be suprised if there was actually a hit on her life once she was released. It has been discussed alot, and I mean even at schools and in the media. Im not wishing death on anyone, but if she is being released for those kind of crimes she has commited then there must be something done. How would you feel if your daughter was killed by some sick people like her?

And Bernado has to be in solid confidement in jail because of the other jailmates. Ive heard that Bernado no longer has any teeth because of what the inmates have done to him. Im sorry to say, but Im glad hes getting that kind of treatment. The man deserves every last bit of punitionment that they can give him.

Erinites @ Sun Apr 17, 2005 10:31 am

To be released July 5th.

That's gonna go over really well.....

She is probably safer in Jail, with her unversity level education and all. :x

Donny_Brasco @ Sun Apr 17, 2005 5:51 pm

She is the devil.

NetAbuser @ Sun Apr 17, 2005 8:20 pm

She should not ever get out!!!!!!

Am I the only Canadian that thinks the death penalty should be brought back for these kind of people?
