Being one of those strange types that celebrates Christmas on the 24th I expect I'll be too busy with family stuff over the next couple days to have much time to hang out here, si I figure I can go a bit early.
Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Merry Kwanza! Happy Hannakuh! Merry Solstice! Glaedelig Jul! Merry End of December! Whatever you may be celebrating, or not, I hope it's a happy time for you, full of fellowship, goodwill, and love.
It's been a strange year for me, on a personal level, and even here at CKA. I've probably had more clashes or unfriendly differences of opinion with other posters over the last 6 months or year than in all the previous time here. While I won't apologise for my opinions, I do apologize if there are any that have been offended on a personal level. Know that I love you all, in an internetty kind of way, and that there isn't a single poster here that I can think of that I wouldn't be happy to have a holiday drink with. Though there may be a few that I would limit the conversation to the weather with 
(not that that's entirely safe either, right Eureka?)

We're doing Christmas on New year's day this year, and my gift is having everyone together for the first time since '04. Everyone have a Merry Christmas too. Christmas Eve is but a few hours away for me....going out for dinner and a glass or two of wine.

We have decided to continue with our tradition of an "anti-consumerist Christmas". Neither of us buy into the consumer feeding frenzy at this time of year.
We will be baking our new traditional Christmas pizzas for dinner this evening and loving the fact there's been no stress, no pressure and no cash hemorrhage yet again.

Nay fears. All the meat toppings are pre-cooked ahead of time and then baked with the pizza.
