I like to think I am a reasonably aware Canadian, so it embarrasses me to admit I have no idea where Napanee is....

   

your not alone. Never heard of it myself.

   

I believe that it's just outside of Ottawa.

The Town of Greater Napanee is situated just south of Highway 401 on the Napanee River, about five miles from the Bay of Quinte Area and ten miles from Hay Bay

For some reason I was thinking it was a country. lol.

   

Ah, closer to Toronto than Ottawa. I think we were there once when I was a kid, which is likely why I associated it with Ottawa.

   

Napanee was recently made somewhat famous recently by Avril Lavigne, it's her home town.

   

Just kidding. I used to work for McBrides there though and we built a lot of houses in Napanee and between there and Odessa. Then I used to work with a mason in the area and we did a lot of stone and block work in the area.

Greater Napanee sticks out to the north past Roblin now. I think it had the sense to stop short of Westplain though.

   

erm i suppose most of you are right, lol,

its near a place called Belleville,

and yeah its where AVril Lavigne is from aswell

   

a heck of a stroll from Belleville. That's where I live. It's about half way between Belleville and Kingston, but to give better known referents, it is on highway 401 nearly exactly equal distances from Toronto and Montreal. It is also where my niece from Marlbank goes to high school, good old N.D.S.S.
