Anyone try this or willing to try this if it hits Canadian stores?
(AP) - Some anti-drug advocates are a little out of joint - over pot-flavoured candy.
Lollipops with names like Purple Haze, Acapulco Gold and Rasta are showing up on the shelves of convenience stores and smoke shops accross the U.S.
The novelties are flavored with hemp oil from the marijuana plant.
But any trace of THC, the stuff that gives marijuana its high, has been removed.
Marketers say their candy is perfectly legal.
But government and law enforcement officials counter that the pot candy sends the wrong message to kids.
A New York City councilwoman plans hearings on the issue this summer.
And the council in an Atlanta suburb has passed a resolution condemning the pot candy.
I guess a concern about this candy is that children will be able to buy it. Even though it is drug free it still promotes use of pot and it seems to be targeting children.
no one would buy it, my guess is it would taste like dirt
I guess it will have the taste of forbidden fruit but how many kids like the taste of booze or even coffee? Wow, candy that tastes like weeds. How cool.
That said, if the community wants it banned, what do I care.
Asking? Sip? Blasphomy!
I really like the idea. I will have to look for the stuff, try it out......
Hey Knightman, where in Saskatoon you from?
