Good luck to ya buddy.. Remember that basic is a game.. If you learn how it works and learn to play it properly you will have no problems.. never show you are smarter than the instructers... Allways be enthusiastic, Keep your kit clean and squared away.... St Jean.. LOL Ive been there,, It gets VERY cold during the winter, but you are also close to Montreal and the strip bars and night life... LOL
Nightlife? His only nightlife will be shine parades in the can after lights out! lol!
There are more than enough bars and strip joints in St.Jean D'Iberville if the commute to Montreal is too much.
I've got some really good foggy memories of my 6 month french course there during the summer of '89. Anyone remember when Club Allouette (sp?) had a drink cart at the outdoor pool
Sorry ...
was late 70's early 80's for me...
Now I just feel old (ish).
Its never too late to say no. Well at least your not off to Valcartier ... yet.
good luck and don't worry Dayseed toold me that the MP's cannot enforce shit when it comes to provincial speeding offences so drive as fast as you want to get home on weekends off.

Ah Spikedriver, look at you, tossing insults behind my back. Just so we're all clear that Spikedriver is here misrepresenting, I said that in the province of Ontario, MPs are not appointed by the Attorney General to enforce provincial legislation.
So, if you're stationed in Ontario, take Johnny Cochrane's advice here and speed on past MPs off-base on your way home.
Spikedriver, you should be blushing!
And anyone with a militrary knowledge knows that MP's have full provincal enforcement rights when it comes to motor vehicle acts on base we're good to go.
And dayseed It wasn't an insult hurled but sarcasm.
How's my flying

CFChucky what trade are you going into? When it comes to doing your dress shoes and the welts, correct me if wrong guys and gals (with military experience) clean them with a tooth brush, let them dry. Then take gloss black finger nail polish and do the entire threaded area all the way around the boot. After 1 or 2 coats, use gloss clear for 1 coat. Last time I did mine was 2000 and they still look A1.
PS. Take the "phone a friend" or the "ask the audience" option Dayseed, ask the Minister of ON if MP's can enforce speeding tickets (at least in ON) on base.
