#4, Nationalism is hardly an American-only problem.

Nationalism isn't a problem...

100% your own personal take.

Globalists should move to the Franco-Germanic Empire EU, I heard it is a globalists paradise. ;)

I thought it was fucking funny. If we don't want our military equipment to be the laughing stock of NATO, we need to invest more in it.

Maybe someday there will be a new political party in Canada that gets elected who will.

I'm cynical as hell, but political parties give the electorate what they want, and the majority of Canadians stopped giving two figs about the military decades ago.

As such, I'd say the blame lies squarely in the lap of the majority of Canadians, who would rather see tax cuts or social programs than make sure the military has decent equipment to do the jobs we expect them to do.

Lemmy has tried to explain it to us, but most people don't know the difference between personal and sovereign debt, so we will always have governments that will be adverse to deficits and therefore the military will always be sub-optimal.

If the Venezuelan girl could do laundry, cook, and clean, that might be a good deal! Saves having to raise children of my own to cut down on the number of chores I have to do. I hear they can be pretty expensive to raise from birth.

Glad you have a good vacation Bart!

2. There is more money wrapped up in yachts in Fort Lauderdale than there is in the Canadian Navy. This is not an exaggeration and it's stunning to see so much wealth in one spot.

Ah Bart. Any excuse to talk smack about the Canadian Forces, eh?

You could have referred to something else.

Um, I thought I was using a pretty valid comparison to make the point about the obscene amount of wealth that's been poured into toys in Florida.

Go on Google Maps and look at that town. There's 300 miles of waterways in that city with an average of $15m docked every 100 feet.

Welcome back Bart, glad to see you had fun.

Did you get to see the new parts of the Panama Canal they are building now ?

Yes! It's open and up and running! What's amazing is that the old canal runs along side it at Miraflores and you get to look up at massive ships that are almost 30 meters higher than your own ship just a few hundred meters away!

It's an amazing feat of engineering and what's even more amazing is that most of the machinery from 1913-1914 is still running just fine.

Yet my new dishwasher from last year already needs to be replaced!
