CBC - he's taking a leave of absence and seeking help for substance abuse. Guess he's serious about wanting to win the next election.

You buried the headline....New crack video surfaces, filmed over the weekend.

Where are the Ford apologists now? Suddenly nobody admits to having said its all a socialist conspiracy.

Didn't hear that part, I thought he genuinely wanted to sober up for getting re-elected.

Yeah, the lieberal lamestream leftwing media conspirists are silent. Until the next one.

While entertaining, Rob Ford is showing, quite convincingly, that he can't get his own shit together... The guy is not currently fit to run for office. I say this not just based on his alleged love for crack or for his near legendary ability to be inappropriately drunk for just about every social event the mayor is required to attend, but also for the company he keeps. Most people of his position would not surround themselves with the type of person he does.

He needs help, and I am happy he is saying he will get help, I can't help but wonder if its all lip service. The man did say he was going to "stop drinking" about 4 drunken episodes ago, so we will see just how serious the man is about getting help.

He can go to all the Rehabs he wants but I seriously doubt they'll make one bit of difference. This is more about a guy who likes the perks of being Mayor than an addict getting sober.

But on the odd chance this latest video that the drug dealer is allegedly selling for 6 figures was the final straw and he's genuinely hit bottom then I hope he actually sobers up but I'll remain skeptical till he's been clean for awhile.

$1:
Viewed by two reporters for the Globe and Mail, the video is part of a package of three videos that an unidentified drug dealer is reportedly offering to sell for “at least six figures.

So are these the same video's from before or new videos and why does any drug addled moron think a video or Rob Ford doing crack is worth money anymore?

I guess the clown doesn't watch tv, have a radio, internet or read because unless you live in a vacuum everybody on the planet knows Ford has smoked crack.

I don't buy any of his "wanting to reform" nonsense. This is a tactic to prevent his election opposition from publically criticizing him. After all, who is going to go after some poor soul in re-hab and expect to get elected? This is a carefully studied strategy, I'll bet.

One thing about Rob Ford, crack user or not is that he's politically savvy and I'm guessing he knows this is the best or maybe only chance he has at getting re-elected.

Either way, I'll miss his zany crack addled antics on late night television and in the Council Chambers. He was the consummate entertainer ............intentionally or not.

So, as Big Rob sails off into the sunset of perpetual rehabilitation or dismal election defeat, let us all wish him well and say goodnight to what has become a true, Toronto Legend. :P

... and if he isn't defeated and the proletarian "Ford Nation" prevails, "World class" Toronto becomes the standing joke of the planet.

Toronto was a joke long before Ford took office. He is just the latest clown, and probably the only entertaining one.

Maybe, but Rob Ford has spread that good news far and wide like no one else before him.
