I have a bar in Toronto.
I only carry Canadian Beer.
I don't carry Molson or Labatt products as they are not fully Canadian owned.
I would like to get a list for a poll.

The top sellers here are Sleeman and Moosehead.

Your bar must not have very great business. Molson and Labatt one of the most popular Canadian beers. Besides, I think there already is a beer thread.

Actually, the bar's doing pretty good. A lot of the bars in toronto are promoting alternatives to Molson and Labatt. The only difference is they are going towards the imports (Stella, Heiniken). I went the other way. Promoting local brews.

If the other thread includes Molson and Labatt, then it doesn't represent Canadian Beer.

Best beer is the kind that's free.

Alexander Keiths - India Pale Ale.. it is the only beer worth drinking. Now whenever I have a canadian or blue they taste like water.

you're one of those assholes that goes to partys empty handed arent you?.. i do agree free beer would be nice... lol

i'd have to say out of the canadian brewers, i like steam whistle.. got the real pilsner taste, much like pilsner urqel or however you spell that czech beer... shit is not too sweet and does not have a overpowering drunk, more of a mellow zing..

Now now, I'm sure he earns his "free beer" one way or the other. Right funboy

Unfortunatly Keith's is now owned by Interbrew, a Labatt product.

I tried that Polish beer. They charged me $4 for a huge bottle, almost a litre. It was good going down....not too good coming up 8O

Since those are the most popular beers in Canada, that leaves only a few other brands along with microbreweries.

Unibroue product is still Canadian since they got bought out by Sleeman.

I had posted it on the other Canadian beer thread http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm

You probably carry Clancy's by Moosehead... it's my regular choice.

Stella tastes like skunky urine would taste, should it be bottled and distributed.

Propeller is one of the biggest locally owned breweries in Halifax, though I don't have much experience with it.

IF ANYONE IS GOING TO LONDON ENGLAND THIS SUMMER , GO TO THE MAPLE LEAF PUB . IT'S IN COVENT GARDENS....THEY HAVE LOTS OF CANADIAN BEER AND EUROPEAN BEERS AND EVEN DOWN UNDER BEER LOL

lunaticfringe @ Mon Jun 06, 2005 7:22 pm

Okanagan Springs Pale Ale is great. I'm not a fan of beer usually, but this stuff is the bomb!

Kokanee was the best, but then Columbia Brewing got bought out by Molson I think and it never tasted the same after that. I still drink Blue mostly, but many of the local BC micro breweries make a good beer to.

If I go to a bar and there's no Black Label I don't go back.

There is no beer but Black Label and Black label is its Black Label. Amen.
