Right now - 24 celsius without the windchill and a foot of fresh stuff.Good day to stay home and feed the woodburner while working on the 6 corons I found in my stocking christmas morning.

   

-18 and -30 with the windchill. brrrrrrrrrrrr

   

Up to - 18 this morning and hoping for zero by noon and hopefully a chinook.

In the states they call it an "Alberta clipper"

   

Today is -16 and that really isn't that cold, but we got a pile of snow Christmas day at around 0 to +2 and everything is now frozen solid. Took me 10 minutes to thaw out my lock on my shop door.

   

I'm digging in to wait for the chinook.

   

It was -43 this morning at my house.......- friggin 43!!!!!!!!!

   

Minus 36 last night,same now and sposed to hit minus 41 tonight.
The airtight is just giving her.
With the blue sky today and the cold air the mountains sure looked close and beautifull.

I heard that some of the early explorers would mis judge the distance to the mountains in the cold weather and some would get caught on the open prarie and freeze to death.
Maybe an urban legend but I can see it.

Right now its +7 in Montreal!!! Today the snow disappeared from my balcony. It smells like spring outside. This isn't exactly "seasonal" weather but I'll take it!!

For the stray cat that has been cruising the block the last week. It's wary of humans since it's owner abandoned it and I've been putting bowls of food (hot gravey and dry chows)under my deck for it.
Plus an old blanket.
And a hot water bottle.
Felt so bad last night I went out and tracked it for 2 blocks at 2:00 am with the old full length sears down overcoat with the fur trim and the oil patch rubber boots.
Used my cel for a flashlight. That cat put's on some miles,I'll be surprised if it's ears arent frostbitten when I do finally get it.
No blood in the paw prints,thats good,and 6 toes.

   

Too warm!
it felt like it was +10 and raining. That's not right for mid january. should be -10 and snowing.

   

It's supposed to get back to -2 by Monday, but till then.......

-30 at 4:00 PM today.

Even my dogs don't want to go out to pee. I let them out this morning as I went to my shop to start the car and warm it up. By the time I'd started my car and got it out of the shop, the three dogs were all standing at the front door of the house and you could see what they were thinking, "Dad, were done, let us back into the friggin house man!!!!!!"

   

I rescued a dog today that was frozen to a hydrant because his stream froze there and he couldn't move. Had to use my monster maul to break the icicle and free him.

   

+7 and downpour of rain.....washed our foot of snow away...and tomorrow it's stuppose to be -4 to -7 *tard face*

   

I was just watching the weather channel and they said you were enjoying nice weather but were about to be slapped.
