There's something like 15000 members at CKA. In many cases a member has chosen their moniker for pretty obvious reasons, like "Bill" or something, but I have noticed that some have monikers which are not all that obvious. These mysteries need to be explained! Here's your chance to let everyone know why you chose your weird CKA moniker and what it means to you :!:

Speaking for myself, "Freaker" is just some word I pulled out of my ass when I was registering here. It has no particular meaning or significance for me other than sounding goofy. In hindsight, I think it's a little embarrassing... :oops:

In my case, Xerxes is the name of two Persian kings (who were descendants of Darius the Second), the most notable of which is mentioned in the Book of Esther.

Howver, that isn't where I took it from. If anyone has ever played System Shock 2, you might recognize Xerxes as the antagonistic computer in the game which constantly demeans you or says random and creepy stuff as you play. I'd change it, but I'm already a forum junkie and I don't want to lose my stats.

Self-explanatory… :roll:

Scarecrow @ Tue Mar 29, 2005 10:41 pm

One day, I saw a scarecrow, and thought to myself, "That would be a cool screen name"

DMP08 @ Tue Mar 29, 2005 10:46 pm

I know there is already at least 2 other topics with identical purposes. But anyways.

DMP-->My initials
08--> My Favourite Number
Avatar--> suits my name quite well?

It is easy to remember my own name :lol:

And the Roundel with a CKA in the corner. The CAF is a very cool place to work.

dgthe3 @ Wed Mar 30, 2005 5:34 am

well, D G are my initials and i have 2 older brothers with the same initials. so i would be dg#3, but dgthe3 sounds better, i think

Canadaka @ Wed Mar 30, 2005 10:32 am

heh, interesting, your name always confused me.

xerxes @ Wed Mar 30, 2005 10:52 am

My avatar is pretty self-explanatory as well. Even if you don't watch soccer, if you haven't heard of Manchester United, then you have been living in a cave with a blindfold and your fingers in your ears.

Hey Xerxes... I was looking at your signature...8) Pretty cool, but not accurate.

Iraq is really in central Europe.

Then you have Switzerland

Sorry, I didn't mean to attack your signature. :oops: I just wanted to point out that CNN misplaces countries.

Chopper @ Wed Mar 30, 2005 11:38 am

When I was in high school I restored a 1973 Tiumph Tiger i found in milk crates in a relative's barn. Real old school bike with a 5" rake and 6' chromed twisted steel stock springer front end. Hard tail, 750cc, mini-ape hangers. I looked like I fell right out of Easyrider. 16 years old with a nice sled, and Chopper became my handle.
