I have been here over a year and I was not going to do this. I thought this a little conceded to put yourself up for a medal. I just figured someone else might see my posts as worthy of incite, humor, or even have some entertainment value.

I have been looking over the medals and although I don't think I fit the political ones. Nor do I want to be anchored with any of those stigmas. I hate any preconceived ideas being made about my character before someone gets to know me or even read my posts. I have ties to the Liberal Party but I do not conceder myself a lefty on all issues. I even hesitated in having the "Liberal Group" logo put in my box for the same reason. I am strongly federalist however and a proud Canadian.

I have tried to keep things light and humorous no mater how heated the debate. I hope that has come through in the course of my interaction with even the most closed minded individuals here. I am always interested in alternate points of view. However I will defend mine if I feel strongly about the issue at in question.

I have a great reverence for the Dali Lama and his teachings. I try to fallow a Zen path although I tend to stumble a bit. I do realize that is all only human, and that is how one learns the terrain along the journey.

In short I try to be like the Polar Bear in my avatar. Cute, cuddly, & cool, but also, surprisingly intelligent, strong & fierce.

I put forth these thoughts to the CKA community in hopes to find if I am worthy of concentration for a medal. Hey gang my profile is looking a little bare without one by now.

Dang! You're one of the CKA Radio DJ:s and you don't have the CKA Contributor medal!?! 8O That's not right.

Someone give this man the Contributor medal, please! :D

You wrote:

conceited as "conceded"
follow as "fallow"
insight as "incite"
considered as "conceder"
matter as "mater"

you used "concentration" incorrectly.

you used the American spelling for: humour, humourous and realise.

How about number one spleller? 8)

Zen Medal - I've yet to see him get his feathers.... er... fur... ruffled.

No, his feathers ruffle very easily and there are many examples in other posts making that one too easy to disprove.

THat's the trouble with having the medals not show up - people assume others have medals already.

I'd support BluesBud for a:

Contributer Medal for his radio show (as was mentioned)

Zen Medal - I've yet to see him get his feathers.... er... fur... ruffled.

Humourous Medal - he has a really cute sense of humour that sometimes makes me smile, sometimes makes me laugh out loud. It's a nice humour - never mean, just funny.

Uber Canuck - because he is.

Any seconds, etc for any/all of these?

edit:
The Spleler one too, as GFPB pointed out. :D

2nd hold the zen. Not convinced he is the Dali Lama.

You did.

WOW I stepped away for a moment and this thread is a buzz.

I never professed to be a good "Spleler" (I count too much on the spell check and get the Yankee spellings) and I did say I was trying to be more Zen and balanced. I count on enlightenment from you guys.(well sometimes  LOL)

I do have some good moments of enlightened thinking.

Ditto.

The fatman tips his hat....for all but the Zen

I guess I will have more work on my Zen sensibilities. I agree I can get heated in the political threads. Even the Dali Lama says being balanced means seeing the points of others but that does not mean you can not defend your own views.
