I just noticed I received this medal and it doesn't look like I was nominated for it so how did I get it?

Just like the Soldier medal, it's given to those who scream it out. Because it's a negative medal, you can't reject it. So no vote is given.
Especially since the Medals description is an exact quote from you saying "I'm Anti-Canada"

Well Canuck is more a reference to Canadians not Canada. I have nothing against any Canadians and it implies such so I do not agree with it's format. My attitude against Canada lies it it's political and government system which many people openly criticise so why are they not given the same medal? Many have even made remarks of the Queen of Canada and have openly expressed no loyalty to her or to the crown and would openly overthrow the same system. I think even you have said so, so how are you not "Anti-Canada" for not supporting the same system you attack yourself? If you wish to give me some western separatist medal I will give you that but If I'm going to get an "anti-canuck" one for criticising our government and constitution that you openly do yourself then a lot of people should be getting one.

To Nominate or Apply for Medal
First of all, it is always best to be nominated for a medal from another member, rather than yourself.
Some of the medals won't be given to very new members, need to be around for awhile.
To apply/nominate for a medal please Start a new topic in this format:
"Membername for Federalist Medal"
the post should contain the following:
1) Medal receiver's name
2) Medal name
3) Justification for getting the medal
4) "Optional" refrences to posts that back the justification
After that the nomination must recieve a minimun 3 endoursments from other members to be then considered by a moderator. Getting 3 endoursments does not automatically mean that person gets the medal, it is still up to a moderator or myself.
Endoursment posts should also have a bit of justification, but I guess not totaly necassary.
Guidlines to Receive a Medal
1) You cannot earn a medal until you have 100 or more posts.
2) One will apply to be given themselves a medal if they think they deserve it, or one will nominate another for a medal if they think they deserve it. Then three members will have to endorse his/her right to have the medal they want. If three members do not indorse them then he/her will not be granted the medal of their choosing. However, if they do get endorsed the matter well be addressed to the moderators and they will give the final call on whether or not they deserve the medal.
3) The endorser will have to write a decent write-up on why he/she deserves the certain medal after he/she applies or gets chosen for a nomination. Instead of just saying “I nominate x for medal w”. You need to provide a good amount of proof (links/examples) and need to be very clear on why they deserve the medal. If he/she truly deserves the medal it will be easy to convince the moderators and give proof on why they deserve it.
4) Medals that aren’t deserved by people anymore, such as someone who may have the “Topic Jedi” medal suddenly stops creating a lot of topics and then never is heard of in the forum for a long length of time will have his/her medal taken away from them.

No where it says you automatically get a medal either. It says you need to be nominated for one and some justification or proof needs to be provided for getting such. I see no nomination thread or any reasoning thus proper protocol at least according to the rules this forum has made has not been followed.

I'm looking into how he got it. There was a time there when the medals were being handed out by the basket load. He might have even got it by accident. I don't see a thread to nominate him for it yet, but give me a few minutes to snoop through the medal forum.

If he wants to sever the chord between Canada and Britain/England then that to me is a statement that Canada should be even more independent and "Canadian".
