Most closet homosexual right-wing extremists like you would regard what you stated as left wing. Rational people would regard it as simple extremism.
Of course we regard it as extreme...that is the hallmark of the NDP. In all seriousness, aside from GWB and Harper planning a similar Canadian 9/11 show me just one thing on the list that is not associated (right or wrong) with Jack Layton and his cohorts to varying degrees.

Hates US: Jack Layton makes no bones about his dislike for the USA and even stated to radio talk show host Warren on the Weekend during the last election campaign that he would rather die in Canada then be medically treated in the USA. There are also many quotes attributed to him and his ilk that clearly demonstrate that they view the US as an enemy of socialism and a threat to their view of world peace.
“When will the prime minister finally stand up and tell George Bush Canadians have had enough?”
I mean, he talks about GWB in a negative light so much I am not really sure how you are trying to defend them

Alberta. "I issue this challenge to Mr. Harper: Stand with Canadians and say no to Ralph Klein.”
Israel: Chastised Israel for defending itself and demanded Harper send 1200 troops to Lebanon to defend against Israel and protect Hezbollah in a ceasefire.
NDP supports Iran, Sauda Arabia and Iraq. Show me anything to the contrary.
Terrorist Organisations: He ain't called Taliban Jack for nothing. From demanding the Canadian army be sent in to protect Hezbollah to his demands of withdrawal in support of the Taliban, he is one of the most supportive leaders of islamofascists in the western world.
You don't think he is anti business? Exactly how out of touch are you? If you really believe he is pro business then absolutely nothing will change your opinion.
Same goes for religion.
As for a social overhaul. When it comes to things like SSM, advocating teen anal sex or immigration to levels that alter you country's identity the NDP is always at the forefront.
