'Fighter' for CKA Contributor.
He's been posting some really cool photos, videos and links of his home, and giving us all a new perspective and appreciation of the beauty of Pakistan.
Example:
travel-f38/travel-pakistan-t120730.html
I'll second it but am not sure he has been here long enough. Yet I do agree he has contributed some interesting things about Pakistan. He has joined in discussions and been more civil then most of us are.
I disagree with the nomination, just this once. What he posts might be somewhat interesting, but it borders on spam, and I still say he's a troll in sheep's clothing. Also, as Stratos mentioned, he hasn't really been here that long at all.
I vote no, based on the above mentioned reasons.

I can absolutely understand your opinion here. To a certain degree I share it myself and I'm reserving the right to be skeptical just in case our new friend goes jihadi on us like so many have before him.

Guidlines to Receive a Medal
1) You cannot earn a medal until you have 100 or more posts.
2) The endorser will have to write a decent write-up on why he/she deserves the certain medal after he/she applies or gets chosen for a nomination. Instead of just saying “I nominate x for medal w”. You need to provide a good amount of proof (links/examples) and need to be very clear on why they deserve the medal. If he/she truly deserves the medal it will be easy to convince the moderators and give proof on why they deserve it.
3) Medals that aren’t deserved by people anymore, such as someone who may have the “Topic Jedi” medal suddenly stops creating a lot of topics and then never is heard of in the forum for a long length of time will have his/her medal taken away from them.
4) Medal nomination in obvious retaliation for a continuing conflict in the forums or to make a point will not be considered.
5) Moderating staff may award or remove medals (other than for inactivity) but only after a discussion has taken place within that group which may or may not be made public in the forums.
Medal Guidelines
As of today Fighter has 104 posts, so he is eligible to be nominated for a medal.

What? Jihadi? Sorry for prior bad experience which you got to take because of few bad ones. I do not threaten anyone nor I like this. I love discussions with having little humor and lot of civility.
Take your time, sir. No need to hurry

Spamming? Do tell me when I did that? May be I was trying to see how this forum works...I didn't get your spamming point.
Troll? I am not a professional one though

We all are trolls to some extent, some are able to suppress it while some not, I am former one

Before I'll back this recommendation I have a question. If Fighter who has 104 posts gets nominated for a contributor medal why the hell hasn't desert dude with his 4180 been given the same courtesy?
And, please don't tell me it's because he's made some anti Semite/Israel posts or the fact he's pretty much fought vehemently with every person on the right here myself included,
Because, if that's the criteria, then given our diverse and overly opinionated views as a community 99% of us should be disqualified from holding any medals what so ever.
So, with no offense intended to Fighter, until someone answers my questions I'm going to hold my approval at least till he's been here awhile longer and we can actually learn who he is and what his views really are. ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)

An excellent question. DD usually participates in discussions we have, offering his opinion. Nothing wrong with what he does. But he doesn't 'bring' anything new with him other than his point of view. He adds to what is already here.
But Fighter brings something new and different, making CKA a little bit better. He isn't trying to steer conversations, he brings about entirely new conversations. He is 'contributing'.
And I read the guidelines, and waited till he had 100+ posts before I nominated him.

Yup. I'll offer my nomination.
Personally, I find my new buddy, Fighter to be kind of passive-aggressive (which admittedly is kind of a passive-aggressive thing to say
) and suspect he may have another agenda, but no probs there. These will just be fun things to reveal if shown to be correct. If I'm wrong there's some pretty pics of the less unsightly corners of Pakistan to look at.
So yeah, I look forward to Fighter's further contributions. Give the guy his medal.

Fair enough and I'm not questioning your motives or ability to make the recommendation. I was just wondering.
