3) The description for this medal is "Poster demonstrates artistic abilities, posted art in gallery or forums." Thse six posters have all played a role in the expansion of CKA's excellent photography community, ranging from many contributions over several threads, or unique photography with an artistic flair, to organizating threads or concepts which our many photographers get involved with.

Photography is definitely an art in and of itself, in my opinion, and the efforts of these posters goes well beyond your typical photographers in many cases, finding different and inspiring ways to capture and present the world, from animals, to nature, to people, to buildings.

Their dedication to this form of art deserves to be recognized, and a good way to recognize the skill and ability of these posters on CKA is to nominate them for the Artsy medal, in my opinion. Thanks a ton for all the excellent submissions, guys, I had a ton of fun going through threads and looking at some of the fantastic, often Canadian oriented pictures!

Hopefully if I missed someone of import, they get nominated as well!

I'll 7th, provided they WANT to be medalled as "artsy". Or is it "artsy-fartsy"? That's what Don Cherry would call it. And, while we're on the subject of Cherry, shouldn't the medal itself be pink instead of blue? Seriously, I love your photos, guys. I respect your talents.

   

I'll take "artsy" or "artsy-fartsy", hell I'd even take "art-faggy" if it meant being lumped in with the others nominated. Those guys have some seriously good pics posted here.
