tritium tritium:
Johnny_Utah Johnny_Utah:
If you were a dual citizen you would have more repsect for the United States..

So because I think that Canada is an over stretched welfare state, always riding on Uncle Sams coat tails because it couldn't make it on it's own if it tried.

Most Canadians think it's their god given right to get a welfare check, rather than getting a fucking job.. proof of which is the 23% unemployment rate when in Fort McMurray employers are giving $600 signup bonuses to those who really want to get a fucking job.

That's one reason I left Canada 12 years ago. I was tired of my taxes paying for a bunch of lazy ass Canadians.

The harder you work in Canada the more the government gets, the harder you work in the USA, the more you get.

Must mean I'm not Canadian either. (idiot)

Suck it Bitch. Image

If that's not enough for consideration, I don't know what is.

I don't get it. He's the one creating all those anti-American threads and complaining about the Americans. Maybe I have the wrong person? :?

Blue_Nose @ Mon May 22, 2006 7:58 pm

He complains about everyone, you're not confused.

Tman1 @ Mon May 22, 2006 8:03 pm

In that case, I'm witholding judgment on his being anti-Canuck for now as he clearly doesn't know anything about this country to criticize as being "faulty" or a weakness. Just a mindless rant about his own failures in this country. Besides, as much as I can make out that garbled mess, the whole post seems contradictory in more ways than one.

Unemployment in Canada is at what, 6%?

Only difference between Canada and the US, our poor are less poor then the Americans.

Blue_Nose @ Mon May 22, 2006 8:10 pm

But that's the point; if he was giving well-informed arguments, it wouldn't be considered "anti-" anything... it's the fact that he uses this misinformation (like the 23% Canadian unemployment rate), and then scurries away, claiming he was only trying to stimulate debate, that makes him an Anti-Canuck.

$1:
U.S. Media ( www.FoxNews.com ) Says you're a bunch of Gay loving, Pot smoking, Draft Dodging, Socialist pigs.

I think that was Bill O'Reilly.

Note the anti-Canadian sentiments, and then the spineless scurrying as he claims it was Bill O'Reilly's words.

I think some of you leap to give someone an anti-Canuck medal, I have rarely if ever seen Tritium post anything remotley resembling anti-Canadian. Being anti-[insert country here] must have some consistency. I personally look at many posts and not single out one post.

A single post can be a result of anger and not a general belief. Personally, to be able to ascertain someone being anti-[insert country here] I use a simple guidline, assuming it's repetitive.

1) An antagonism towards a country that is systemic.
2) An exaggeration of a country's shortcomings.
3) A misperception of a country's society which falsely portrays them as malevolent or ridiculous.

I have not seen anything from Tritium that could portray him as being anti-Canuck. Anti-American, sure.

My two cents.

Tman1 @ Mon May 22, 2006 8:31 pm

I'd have to agree with NY. With the exception of this, I haven't seen any other posts displaying hostility towards Canada but like NY said towards Americans in which he keeps changing his muddled view everytime.

Besides, people can still have well-informed arguments and still be "anti" something.

I believe him to just be ignorant, prejudiced, inflexible, stereotypical stereotyper and extremely defensive, not unnationalistic.

In defense of my Bill O'Reilly statement earlier. Here are a few links I could find on Bill O'Reilly's views on Canada or the Lefty's which are no longer in control.

What's funny is this station has been begging the CRTC to grant it access to the Canadian market, however on it's U.S. broadcast, this station has to be the most anti-Canadian station on earth.

According to Bill & FoxNews, Canada can't do anything right.

Boiling point. This station has brought me to the boiling point many a time, one particular time was when Katrina hit New Orleans, he criticized Canada for trying to show up the U.S. when we wanted to send aid.

OH YEAH!! It may surprise you, but millions of U.S. Citizens agree with this crazy ideology and think that Canada is a backward country. :?
