Before celebrating maybe we should wait for the results of the drug test! 8O I'm sure there will be no problems but what was the medal for?

Congrats!

Only complaint here. The sport isnt any fun when the object of it is 'to keep your legs together'! ;) [flag]

$1:
SAUZE D'OULX, Italy (CP) - Oops. Jennifer Heil of Spruce Grove, Alta., couldn't believe her ears Saturday night when the stadium announcer called her an American during the flower presentation after her Olympic Games moguls victory.

Heil's jaw dropped at the slip of the tongue and there were boos from the crowd. Announcer Phillipe Richard of Switzerland quickly corrected himself.

"I was a little disappointed," said Heil afterwards. "Hopefully they will raise the Canadian flag and not the American flag" at Sunday's medal presentation.

Peter Judge, chief executive officer for the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association, said Richard apologized for his mistake.

"I know Phillipe really well," said Judge. "He's been around freestyle for almost as long as I have. I'm going 'Jesus Phillipe, how can you screw that up."'

Judge doubted the mistake will be repeated at the medal presentation.

"She'll get the medal and it all will be good," he said. "It will be our flag up there."

Give me a break. How the hell can you come up with this dumbass mistake. Hey, that chump is from Switzerland? Would he like to be mistook for a German...?

I watched her. She looked great, even without the fancy jumps. She didn't need it she cut those moguls so cleanly. Link.

That announcer was on drugs I think. Give him the drug test.

She sailed over the moguls, her legs looked like pistons!

She was deafinatly the smallest one on the podium, too.

YAY, our first gold...I didn't really get to see the run...but I got to see the medal ceremony. They showed line of journalist waiting to give her an interview after she won the medal and all the attention...wow...i wouldn't have thought you get that much attention from all over the world from freestyle moguls. Great to see that and great to see we won our first gold medal...keep em coming!
