This is a thread for everyone to post there comments about the opening ceremonies. I tried setting up a "Cover it live" chat, but I didn't realise all the comments are moderated, meaning someone has to sit there and approve each one. Unless you get special access to there unmoderated option. Which I will look into for other events.

   

   

Liking it so far except for the anthem. With all due respect to the pretty young singer, she butchered it.

   

I loved the Anthem!

   

The national anthem performer was mediocre at best.

Simply cannot understand their need in having to add on some out of place melodies throughout the anthem.

   

Why are thepeople carrying the landname thingy in white, and not in Red/white, or red?

   

All that fur, feathers and leather. It's a wonder Peta hasn't stormed the place.
Like the ceremony so far.

Annie Villeneuve, the other version of the Olympic song, could have done so much better than, what, Nikki Yanofsky.

Still, not trying to cause any stir. The national anthem is to be respected. Not a moment to try to imitate some R&B wannabe WTF. So, ok. Go Canada!!!

   

Nelly Furtado could have, as far as I am concerned, shut her mouth. And her dress was a great colour, but a designer-drama.
