A teen trial in Barrie has taken a twisted turn of events as Nickolas Bullock, murdered Brayton Bullock who was his cousin. Now 19, was sentenced to life in prison, with no chance of parole for 10 years. Yet the courts could now offer the convicted murderer a youth sentence, meaning a possible parole by the age of 26. The teen had stabbed his cousin 13 times in the back, head and chest after he lured him into Lackies Bush in south end Barrie on March 9, 2006.

The question arises whether the courts can allow such a vicious killer who if released could pose a threat to the family, be able to walk amongst the law abiding citizens of Canada. He noted psychological reports show he has early signs of psychopathy, such as lack of empathy and a sense of his own superiority.
