Attractions Between Toronto & Ottawa
I am looking for some suggestions for things to do and see on the route between TDot and Ottawa.
I heard that Fort Henry is probably one of the best forts to visit in Ontario, so we are going there. And we might take a boat tour from Kingston to the 1000 islands.

The 1000 islands is one of my most favourite places!
Check out Boldt castle is so beautiful with a very romantic and tragic history.

Definately hit up thousand islands region; but if only you could see Georgian bay and Wasaga Beach!
I would also recommend visiting the historic towns of Cornwall and Brockville. There is also a tonne of history about the Rideau River/Canal that runs from Ottawa to Kingston and numerous communities along the way.
The Big Apple!
Okay, maybe the Big Apple is a little cheesy.
If you're a history buff Upper Canada Village might be worth a peek. Very nicely done setup there.

When was the last time you were at the village- was there last summer quite rundown as they had run out of funds and were begging the feds for more. Kingston is a great place was there last wknd check out farmers market on the wknd at city hall lots of cool shops and little resturants tuked away in the alleys. And as for Fort Henery the Hip play a "secret" concert there every summer that only the locals seem to know about I was lucky enough to go last yr amazing!! . For the best View of the thousand Island make the trip down to Rock port and go across to Hill Island and Go up the observation tower. Or take a boat ride out of Kingston- my wife and I did the dinner curise many a time and it was lovely that where I proposed.
I remember going to Fort Henry in Kingston. It was cool. Isn't there also a big women's prison there?
Oh, and don't forget about those two places I mentioned you should visit in Ottawa already (in your blog with links). You can reminisce my childhood memories for me...

they got their funding as a Canadian educational historical site. God bless heritage funding.
Lots of locks along Lieutenant-Colonel John By's historical Rideau Canal. Soon to become a World Heritage Site known internationally.
