I hesitated in offering them help because it was so damned cliche.
You have some serious issues if you considered NOT helping people who obviously needed help.
Have you talked to your therapist about this?
Sigh... I know how much you love definitions:
hes·i·tate (hĕz'ĭ-tāt')
To be slow to act, speak, or decide.
Most women I know would be offended by my offering of help, and I didn't need a purse across the face if they didn't actually need it.
You have to be pretty good to be able to hurt my feelings, and that was a poor showing.
You underestimate the pride of Maritime women

Ahh but this is Halifax, maybe the most Politcally Correct city in the country Lily, which is kinda strange in a province that is too conservative to have Sunday shopping. But that is a WHOLE nuther thread

You might be able to guess what brought this on.... Something tells me this won't be entering the email chain letter spam pool any time soon.
I have no clue as to what brought this on? Why all the drama??

A purse across the face?
Uh, yeah... that's my first thought when someone offers to give me a hand.

Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. If someone offers to help me, I have 2 choices... smile and accept or smile and say no thanks.
Since a healthy grown man wouldn't need my help crossing the street... I'd only offer if he were really cute.

you must have known I knew you'd say that
