Atlantis Revisited

Oh Donovan, you've sung Atlantis' praise
And everyone thought, "That could never be."
Yet what has happened in these last few days
Has made it all seem 'way too real to me.
We hear your chorus time and time again.
"'Way down below the ocean she may be."
Those voices crying out with lost love pain,
They echo, "That is where I long to be."
Now floods and quakes of legend, "Can't be real."
Have lifted from the page of make believe.
Those faces and the pain that they must feel
Have made this planet stop a time and grieve.

Yet soon such stuff shall legend be once more
As men build on that calm, inviting shore.
