Bart's treatment for a novel.
he pointed a pistol at me....all that needs to be said.

Amen!

We weren't chasing them...they were just there and spoke English.

And "dumb story?" You don't have a story anywhere close to as good as that!
*coughcoughdontbetonthatcoughcough*

But you are right, in all my travels, I usually treat my hosts with more respect.

Yeah, we should appoint you ambassador. That'd keep you busy and out of the country.

FWIW, don't ever fall into the Mack Bolan weapon fetish BS so common now:
"He pulled the Walther pistol and..." is fine.
"He pulled the customized Walther chambered in .40 with the contra rotating quarfsnapple and right slegged Micro rail snarfgoon..." is not fine.
Thanks in advance.
No doubt!

I hate the Walther with the right slegged Micro rail snarfgoon. I far prefer the fully automatic .39 calibre Walther revolver with the Webley upper, 23 round magazine, and LEFT slegged Micro rail snarfgoon.
It was a gift from
Eureka, you see.
Everyone who really knows weapons prefers the left slegged Micro rail snarfgoon.
Hollywood always gets it wrong!
I like the one that puts a big freaking hole in something out of which copious amounts of their lifeblood flows.

I tried writing a Sci-Fi novel but soon became lost in my own dreamworld.

I had kind'a the same problem. However, it still works wonderfully as a meditative vehicle to help me fall asleep.
How's it coming along Bart?

Pretty good.
I completed the foreword after fleshing it out a lot more and I'm now onto the story itself.
I'm about 200 pages in so far.
God Bless
Dragon Naturally Speaking as my typing is for sh*t.
You've written 200 pages in 2.5 months!
I'm happy if I can do that in less than a year!
I've been writing a lot more than drinking, shooting, or playing Battlefield 3.
Gunnair Gunnair:
Anyway, keep us updated. You'll be writer number four here (that we know of)
As promised here's the update:
My
fifth (f*cking) draft has been accepted for editing by Penguin and I'm supposed to be receiving a modest advance by the end of February. After editing a decision will be made on publishing as an e-book or as a paperback and I've been told that there's a 95% chance it'll be an ebook. I'm also told that the book can be placed on 'hold' for an
opportune market condition like how political books can be held for release prior to elections.
Not quite published yet but at least this is something.
