I work part time at a technical library. Here's something I wrote for the barcode reader.

Patiently sitting,
With your bright little laser-eye flashing,
You wait to show off your mad barcode-reading skills.

I hold out an ID card - "Try this one on for size, hotshot"
and with a "beep!", you handle it with ease,
Presenting your results on the computer monitor.

Or so you think - I'm pretty sure
that red-haired kid's name isn't
Abdul-Azeez.

Stupid fucking machine.
