ALBERTAN SPRING
When it's springtime in Alberta,
And the gentle breezes blow,
About seventy miles an hour
And it's fifty-two below.
You can tell you're in Alberta,
'cause the snow's up to your butt,
And you take a breath of springtime air
And your nose holes both freeze shut.
The weather here is wonderful,
So I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Alberta,
My feet are frozen to the ground!
Very cute .
awsome poem, very funny!!
now I know why my sister never came back from Alberta.
i remember times when it seemed very true...i never complained though, i like the cold.
oops forgot to sign in...
It's autumn in Ontario, the bums all hang around
And hope the snow falls deep this year, to shovel from the ground
Between the Santa Clausing and the squeegeeing downtown.
So they can get some coin and pour the Aqua Velva down.
The shelters pick up new tvs guys like me can't afford
And hustle all our sleeping bags, God bless us; praise the Lord.
They buy the turkeys by the tonne to feed the ones who shirk
While slobs like me eat sandwiches from vending slots at work.
Winnipeg, Winnipeg
its winters will freeze the pee to your leg
Winnipeg, Winnipeg
its the summer air that you now beg
Winnipeg, Winnipeg
the place of constant bootleg
Winnipeg, Winnipeg
The place where u always find urself buying a keg
The place of my nostalgia where i drop my peg
thats all behind me now and i love
my winnipeg.
Except for those damn winters, and the flood of '97, that can just lick a lefty.
