All things crooked.
Roads, mishapen cobblestone
Windows, angular frames
Doorways slant.
Rooftops a mosaic
Even the rain chooses its own course.
Trees bend to and fro
Sidewalks conform to hills
Logic defied.
Edinburgh charm.
I've never been to Edinburgh but from what I've heard about it I think I would probably like it a lot.
Nice poem, dimoreien.
Thanks Streaker
Edinburgh is a fantastic city
Great poem... the thing I noticed is the writing style seems almost contorted itself, which fits nicely with the impression you're trying to convey.
Unfortunately, I can't say I've been there to relate... someday.
Would you like to see the picture that inspired the poem?? It's a picture I took of Ramsey Gardens off the Royal Mile. I wrote this poem the same day.
