According to Renee Carriere, if people want to drive in or out of Cumberland House, Sask., they're doing so at their own risk.

Highway 123 is the road which the community relies on when food, mail or food is transported into the community and the road which emergency services must travel to help those in need. If it isn't passable — then the community is essentially cut off from the rest of the province.


It is one of the truly horrible roads. You come off of it feeling like a Bond martini.

I remember when our crappy roads were blamed on the NDP. Seems the problems of dealing with all that highway ( and in the north- all that highway built across muskeg) now rest on the poor little head of Mr. Conservative himself--- Brad Wall---formerly known as chief complainer Wall. Oh well.
