It's a weak springboard to criticism of teachers though. Was it the mere mention of "teacher" that made it qualify?

It's fairly obvious that whoever posted that has English as second language, but as per Brenda's comment, she could teach anything except English.

I suggest you move to a foreign country and post an ad in another language before you criticize someone for doing it here. It takes a helluva strong character to move to foreign country to live and work, unlike most Canadians who can't handle 30 seconds outside their comfort zone.

   

The link I provided works just fine, and the article therein speaks directly to the 'teachers' ad inasmuchas Alta. teachers are already the highest paid in the country, and are demanding more for the same work. As one who is actually helping to pay their salaries & perks , I am more than entitled to demand excellence from them right across the board!

As far as me (or anyone else) going to another country to teach anything, I would not do so, nor should I expect to be hired to do so, if I do not have full & complete command of the subject matter as well complete command of the language necessary to do so!

BTW, I have tried phoning the number listed in the ad several times-no answer- as well have not had a reply to my email inquiries either.

If you want to hire employees who are less than qualified then certainly that is your perogative. But don't pay them with my $$$!
