I was browsing along today, when I noticed at the bottom of the page a banner ad from the US gov't with the mug of none other than Tom Ridge telling me that terrorism forces me to change.

On a site devoted to Canadian patriotism is this really acceptable??? I'm sure they pay well but frankly I don't need that moron telling me what to feel or how to act.

Could this site really be an American tool to collect the IPs and names of real Canadian patriots??? Or a US attempt to brainwash us???

Stand on guard my fellow Canucks!!!

I noticed this banner add aswell, But none of what you said is true don't worry. The banner add at the bottom is from a banner network, that pays per impressions, its there to try to help pay for the site, the site is still not paying for the costs of the new servers monthly fee. The banner changes on every refresh.

The banner network is american, i would gladely go with a Canadian network but there isn't really any. It took me long enough to find one anywhere that actually paid. Most you never see the money from.

I will try emailing them and seing if it is possible to get that banner taken out of the rotation of this site.

I hope that explains everything

I figured as much. Just busting your balls a little.

You get paid per click through or jsut for showing them? ( I don't understnad "impressions") maybe we can get everybody to click a little more to help. Do they monitor IP click throughs?? or can one person click a thousand times???

The only time I'll click on anything to do with Tom Ridge or those that appointed him is when my heel clicks on their foreheads. These assholes have made a mockery of democracy.

Tell your little banner company that. What can they do, ban me from their country.

most banner networks work on clicks now, so the pay though rate is not great. But this one pays a fraction of a cent for everytime an add is viewed. so over a month it adds up. This month the site could break even for the server monthly costs.
