Oh yea!
Well, I have a good friend that bottles the beer with me. He has more experience with bottling beer so I shouldn’t be talking too much about making beer.
But we also bottle wine. Its interesting actually, it smells pretty good too. You can add some hard liquor to make it have a little more taste.
Ever tried that?
My Dad has always made wine. I don't drink it, so I've never made it. I've spent a fair bit of time on the manual labour end of a filter pump though, and I've cleaned a lot of bottles.
Dad would never pour whiskey into his wine, but a couple of overly sweet batches of berry wine have been turned into liqueur with the quick addition of some everclear. Saskatoon liqueur is a dandy after-dinner treat, and I'd recommend it with coffee or over vanilla ice cream. It also goes good with bannock in the morning, but a lot of people seem to think that liqueurs are not meant for breakfast.
Ok, I will take note of that.
I like to have white wines with fish and red wines with other types of food.
Have you ever tried dandy-lion wine?
Yeah, I've tasted it. I didn't like it much, but not being a wine drinker that's kind of to be expected.
I usually have beer with dinner. Dark beer in the winter, and lager in the summer. British and Irish beers go well with both fish and Indian food though...better than other beers, anyway.
I like it,that's why some kids might be present deficient in the morning.
I'll buy ya one.
Pull up a stool. guess all the presents didnt make it out.
Rudolph the gay excuse for a real elk threw a hissy fit and I had to cancel most of my schedule. So I said fu*k it and decided to sit back and crack a nice cold Canadian and roll up a big fat spliff.
Where's that stool?
You must mean this three legged one, push it in for ya buddy?
Unfortunately I am still under-age.
Yeah, I never let beer touch my lips until I was nineteen.
Beer touched my lips when I was 2! No word of a lie. My father had some friends over and everytime he went to get them something to drink they would give me nips of what they had left. My mother said that the next day I just layed in the crib all day with a pillow under my head and a pillow over my head....
I couldn't figure out why I liked the taste of beer so much until that story was told to me.
We had greenhouses, no not illegal plants, and the old man would ask me to grab a beer for him. I did without hesitation because, of course, I would take a little sip of it.
Then, on my 18th birthday, dad took me out for a night of drinking; yes, legal drinking age in Ontario was 18 at that time. He took me to a strip club of all places. I had a great time, although when we got back home, I was hugging the toilet pretty hard. He warned me to slow down, but he was buying.
I like beer. But just last week I found out...rum tastes pretty good too! My brother gave me the rest of his 26 and I enjoyed it. I have never yet drank enough to be hungover. My parents are so cool about it though. My brother had a bunch of people over (my brother is 20 in January, as I am 18 in January as well) and my mom came downstairs. She said cheers, then came up to me and was like "You know there are frosted glasses in the freezer if you want some". My parents are cool. The figure as long as I'm responsible, its fine.
