To my fellow Ontarians,

I propose we separate from the rest of Canada. We don't need them. We are the strongest province of all. We give more money to Ottawa than anybody else and receive jack squat. We don't get equalization payments. Think about it.

First, we could eliminate a whole level of government all together. I mean, since malcontents tell us that Ontario is the federal government we could get rid of one with out any interuption at all.

Second, we wouldn't have to give money to other provinces to lame to make their own money. Don't you find it especially annoying to have to do this when the neo-cons in these same places are always blabering on about how Ottawa (read Toronto) is always taking from them?? even worse is when they start this chit "maybe we should separate" crap. Why don't we separate them from our money.

Third, we don't need anybody else.

Fourth, we couldn't be blamed for everybody's problems anymore.

Five, we could implement Kyoto without having to listen to drunks, and finally get some clean air.

Six, we could finally put an end to this falsehood that the best weed comes from BC. Anyone familiar with the chronic in TO knows it is as good, if not better.

Seven, no more problems with mad cows for us and no more problems for SARS for the other whiners.

Eight, The Ontario Teachers Pension Fund controls most companies in Canada anyway -why do we need a federal government to control them?

Nine, the English population in Quebec wouldn't have protection anymore and would probably move here, thus making us even richer.

Ten, we wouldn't have to listen to whiny conservatives tell us we need better relations with the US.

Ok,OK, for the people who made it this far bravo - this is my ironic post o' the month. If somebody really said this I would bitch slap them. Nevertheless, I'm sure someone who didn't read this far will roast me.

Sure there is some valid points there, any province can come up with such a lsit to certain degree's, but there is one major problem.

Please take Chretien with you - you may have to act quickly as he may soon head back to his motherland and we'd once again be stuck with him. If was a citizen of the country of Ontario we could at least refuse him travel into Canada.

Please ensure that Avril and Shania are out of Ontario before you close the door. I'd also encourage you to ensure that Celine and Alanis are in Ontario before you close the door for the same reason mentioned above for Jean Poutine.
