I hate people that play there music at any time in the apartment right next to mine. And of course she turns the bass up and plays some crap hip hop shit. I had to put up with that for three months and no word of a lie I almost went crazy. It's like chinese water torture to me. I suppose that's why my dream house is in the very center of an acreage where the only thing I hear is the wind in the tree's.

I hate it when people ask me a question about something (usually completely unrelated to my discipline), and then, if I don't know the answer, say, "You should know that; you're an engineer." Now, I'm flattered and all that people think I know how everything on earth works, but I don't know why this fan isn't working, or why they're doing repair work on the same road again this summer.

The worst thing is that everyone I know knows how much I hate this, and they think it's a joke to say it all the time.

Another one that gets me is people starting a conversation with "You know what you should invent?" like the only thing stopping me from doing so is my incapacity to come up with innovative designs or concepts.

Just how great is this incapacity of yours? Is it slowing down your design work for that bridge to Vancouver Island? It's not going to design and build itself.

It's pretty great... right now, there's a big issue with regards to building anything in Halifax which obstructs the view between the harbour and Citadel Hill, and the folks at the local CBC morning radio show have been asking around the school if it were feasible to jack up Citadel Hill so it was above all the tall buildings. They even had on of the faculty discuss it on air...

So we're kind of busy working on that one at the moment

So they want you to make a mountain out of a molehill :D

Are there cruise ships in the harbour that want to see Citadel Hill? Or are there tourists on Citadel Hill that want to see the harbour?

Tell the CBC that your plan is to dig a hole under the citadel and then to fill it with dirt. You could have that done by lunch today.

Both... they're really strict about it. One of the taller buildings in the city was built at an angle so that it is perfectly in line to block the least amount of the view, so that's how they got away with it. You can see it below.

I personally think any building that blocks the view of the power stations, and all the industrial plants on the Dartmouth side, would be welcomed.

WHat pisses me off are people who are always late. For anything..

Me too!!! I am always early because I dont want people to have to wait for me, but nobody else seems to care, people show up 10 or 20 minutes late and do not think about it all /stab
i'm the same way about showing up early. The worst is at work. Since I'm a security gaurd where there is security 24/7 I need to say until I get replaced. It really sucks when it's a 12 shift and the guy is late.

Zoraja @ Tue Mar 21, 2006 6:24 am

It was the same thing as a nurse, you have to wait until the next shift gets there, and then give them report before you can leave so you almost always stay half an hour after your shift.

ash_wednesday @ Tue Mar 21, 2006 6:26 am

Yep. I been there. The worst is the fact that my site supervisor is the one who is always late...

Lately its the wind ....it hasn't stopped day or night for about 9 or 10 days . Driving is holding the wheel at a quarter turn  I've never seen anything like this for such a long period of time in the southern prairies. I learned one good thing about it last fall ....A young mom had heaps of leaves at the edge of her property and she batted the leaves out into the street in which they blew downwind toward me . Her husband told her to stop until I walked past ... not noticing me she was embarassed but I was laughing and commented how I'd use her idea instead of bagging the damn things . It worked really well because that day the wind was hitting between 90 and 100 KM and those leaves were gone into never never land very very quickly ..... anyway, DAMN WIND ! its annoying ....end rant

I just finished watching a burned copy of the "directors cut" of Blade Runner and it missed all the voice over and the ending.
On the DVD, Rachel & Deckard leave the apartment, discover the origami unicorn and we hear the echo of "she won't live.. but who does".
In the proper movie, we see the above then Rachel & Deckard driving on long lonely road with Deckard asking the question "how long do any of us have"
What a rip! That is the best science fiction movies and it's terrible that they play with the ending.

oh, and all that genocide in Darfur is bad too.

hamiltonguyo @ Fri Mar 24, 2006 11:02 pm

YOUR MOM!!! no seriously what I really hate is people who cannot formulate an argument about a serious issue so they insult people's mothers this is different from the "What time is it?" "Yo Momma" good natured thing this is like the

"So why are you defending her cheating on him?????" "YOUR MOTHER"

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE I

GRRRRRR

There is a line between kidding around and being FRIEKEN ANNOYING

*calms down*

oh and ever since I played a gay guy for that school video and there was a blooper with a friend saying "Al your such a pretty princess" and then me saying "Oh, I know" sarcastically, people won't let me forget about it~!!!!!!
