When I drove transport i used to like winterpeg. You could get a great meal at the Blue Sky truck stop just before the Scales on the west side of town, PLUS it meant I was only about 8 hrs from Calgary LOL

Yea, i miss em to but listen to this. If we still had the Jets and their roster then we would have the 7th highest payed team in the NHL - and our small city couldnt afford that budget size.

No not really, its a nice area - every been to the Whiteshell, its beautiful. Then again i don't know many people who say "Oh my God - what a beautiful office building. Such a romantic composition of steel and concrete."

Winnipeg is a cool place and actually, we are probably more friendly then everybody else. Except maby Quebec! hahahaha.......yeah right!

   

So was I! (I had to deal with people from Tronna all day!) Of course there's nothing to do here... it's so cold today all atomic motion stops (that was supposed to be funny)

   

The polar bears are gonna start moving in to the city soon.

   

i passed through winnipeg when i was 13 cool place funny water really flat...
around here (bc) if you fall asleep at the weel you wake up when u hit a tree, there you wake up when you run outta gas...... o yea we stopped just outside winnipeg to have lunch and it was in this woody park and i stepped outta the rv and on to the grass is was calm for a second then about a billion dragonflies started flying around i swong my bokken and i hit about ten ....so all i have to say is to much bugs and funny water.... later

Winnipeg is a cool place. I could have moved to BC or Toronto or Calgary. I could have gone back to Regina. I stayed here because I like it.

   

[color=#][font=Arial]Ahhh, good old Winnipeg. It may not appear so pretty (garbage everywhere...) but it's still not THAT bad. And sure, it's not that safe... But come on people... Winnie the Pooh came from Winnipeg! The mosquitos are terrible, and the winters are cold.. anyone notice how spring just doesn't want to come??!! It's April 2 and there's a blizzard warning! Arg! It's the slurpy capital of the world! Now that's something to be proud of. It doesn't matter if there's a huge blizzard you can always find someone walking down the street slurping their slurpy. There's Assinaboine Park too. Atleast our garbage pickeruppers(dont really know the word) dont go on strike and leave us with garbage piling up in our streets. Or we dont have physco killers picking up prosititutes and killing 50 of them and feeding them to pigs. and atleast it's not Brandon, Manitoba hahahah![/font][/color]

   

As of 1996, I decided to aviod Winnipeg, no point in going there with no Jets.
