Do jews need to be 'perfected'?

Just another sad reminder that there's few things generally more disgusting than all-things-Coulter.
Not that I countenance violence against anyone merely for exercising their free speech rights, even against someone like Coulter, but I'm genuinely amazed that someone in the US hasn't taken a shot at her yet.

Great, then she would become a martyr.
Thanos @ Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:17 pm
The rational approach would be to leave the making of completely undeserving martyrs solely up to the jihad-tards and other such psychopaths. The reasonable man's approach would be to ignore the Coulters of the world, as giving them too much attention merely encourages them to behave even worse later on than they are doing so now.
The earlier post in this thread regarding shunning and exile was excellent. Too bad there isn't a convenient asteroid available to use as a temporary holding facility until they rediscover their own personal responsibility to basic civility and are eventually able to return to participate in human company.

The rational approach isn't an option when your dealing with a radical directly. Simply put the methods clash and as the saying goes never argue with an idiot they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
So instead of dealing directly you must strike at the root. Since it is the media that keeps inviting her back it is the media that should be held to task financially for their actions because they are legitimizing her by repeatedly giving her a platform. The relationship is very simple, they get ratings she gets a platform that in turn she peddles her books and they both make money by exploiting an emotional chord with the public.
Thanos @ Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:41 pm
Holding any part of the media to task on anything is impossible. If such a thing were possible it would have happened a long time ago, long before the media became a vehicle for the likes of Coulter or for showing off paparazzo pics of important things like Britney's well-shaved vaschnooch. Holding the media accountable would be about as possible as trying to hold a golf course accountable for the rain coming out on the second tee-box and ruining virtually an entire round of play.
I despise Michael Moore (another gutter-dwelling manipulator himself) with a passion but he was right about one thing in "Bowling For Columbine": panic/fear/hatemongering=ratings=ca$h. As long as it remains so the Coulters of the world will always have a warm and comfortable spot to slime and slither their way into.
Scape @ Sun Oct 14, 2007 10:00 pm
It's not just the media, it's the people she's carrying water for the political sympathizers that make this level of polarization so prominent. It is the exact same tactic used by the brownshirts to brow beat the Democracy in Germany into submission.
What sort of rebuttal would Edward R. Murrow have for Ann that would deflower her mass appeal? His clarion call would be for a strong, independent media. The current ownership of the media landscape is no different then what the robber barons of the 1920's had with respect to land rights.

Network was not meant to be seen as prophecy it was satire. The media is culpable that has a vested interest in the current scheme and will resist change. The only way to stop the fire that is burning out of control is by denying it access to fuel (political and financial support) or letting it burn itself out (anarchy).

Let me be the first to welcome you to the site Thanos.
There aren't any convenient asteroids but I'm quite sure St. Helena is still open for business....
Scape is right. You can ignore her, but she still represents a diseased way of thinking that is all too prevalent these days, one that must be confronted.

Last week it was the Rush Limbaugh "phony soldiers" and now this.
Except that Limbaugh was talking about a couple of people who really ARE phony soldiers. Check into that and you'll see what I mean. People who don't like Limbaugh took the comment completely out of context to smear him.
Notice how the matter disappeared? That's because Limbaugh's lawyers started sending out letters to the MSM letting them know that if they insisted on promulgating a lie they'd be sued for libel.

They were real soldiers actually.
The matter disappeared because people like Limbaugh and Coulter always get a pass for slander and bigotry.

No, they were poseurs.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20071010/cm_ ... /op_234052$1:
Less than two minutes after uttering the words "phony soldiers," Limbaugh elaborated on the subject, explaining exactly what he meant by the term. He named one Jesse Macbeth as an example of a phony soldier. Macbeth had become an overnight darling of the far left, a self-described Iraq war veteran and Purple Heart recipient who posted a YouTube video denouncing American military atrocities he'd witnessed.
Except he was never awarded a Purple Heart. He was never in Iraq. In fact, he was never in the military, period. He was tossed out of boot camp after four months. Macbeth is now in prison serving a five-month term for falsifying Army records and applying falsely for veterans' benefits. Limbaugh was right.
Limbaugh also pointed out that he wasn't the first to discuss the Macbeth phony soldier story. Brian Ross had filed a report on this man several nights before, on ABC's "World News." Ross even used the term "phony soldier" — and not a soul on the left found fault with that.
So the left returned with another charge: Limbaugh had used the plural, "phony soldiers," therefore Limbaugh's sole example — Macbeth — was inadequate. So are there any other "phony soldiers" out there? Jeffrey Sullivan, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Washington, thinks so. Besides prosecuting Macbeth, he's prosecuted another five "phony soldiers." Jim O'Neill, the assistant inspector general for investigations at the Veterans Administration, confirms that the federal government is presently conducting another 60 such "stolen valor" cases. Rush was right, in spades.
The left knows Rush was correct, yet, just as with the spurious racist accusations against Bill O'Reilly the week before, the attacks continued for days, unabated. This is no accident, and no coincidence. Yesterday, it was MoveOn. Today, it's Media Matters. This is the far left at its repugnant worst, perfectly content to destroy a man's reputation through dishonest attacks if it will further its agenda. Josef Stalin would be proud of this movement.
Rush has beaten them all back now. In fact, as with the Petraeus/"Betray Us" attacks by MoveOn, this newest round of attempted character assassination backfired and did nothing but re-energize conservatives.
But this won't stop the left. Tomorrow it will be Sean Hannity, or Mark Levin, or maybe Laura Ingraham. This group plays for keeps.
And what of all those media outlets giving aid and comfort to the leftists who attacked Rush? Now that we know there are several dozen cases of "phony soldier" scandals, just as Rush suggested, how many stories have they devoted to them, thus vindicating Rush? Check for a Jesse Macbeth story in a Nexis database search on CBS, NBC and NPR. Search Time and Newsweek. Look up The Washington Post, The New York Times and USA Today.
You won't find a one.

Jesse Macbeth is not Brian McGough, Paul Hackett or Jon Soltz.
